The most complex, challenging content in the game is Vault of Glass , a six-player raid. Unfortunately, it’s a bit hard to actually venture into the Vault because there’s no matchmaking system in place. Bungie is sympathetic to players who wish they could be automatically teamed up with strangers. Yet, we understand its limitations. In the recipe of a Bungie game, Matchmaking has always contributed the ingredient of a team built to play one match of competitive multiplayer. They designed Vault of Glass with tight-knit, coordinated groups in mind. However, some of the players who cleared Vault didn’t fit that description.

I personally am a part of a very small Clan who I often play with. Being such a small clan, all of us know each other and always have a great time together. However, this means that sometimes, gathering 6 members to do a Raid can be a difficult task. Then, in order to get a complete fireteam, we have to resort to other methods. Perhaps, turning to LFG. But, isn’t it a problem that you need to rely on a 3rd party website, external to the game, in order to find a raid team to play with?
With Raid matchmaking, of course. Now, I know that the thought alone of Raid Matchmaking may make some of you upset or even angry. I am aware that this is a very controversial topic. I know that many of the players here on the forums are veteran Destiny players like myself, but think of the newbies that are locked away from the best content in the game because they don’t have many if any for that matter friends to play with.
In this video I propose what I believe to be a very elegant and efficient solution that will make Raid matchmaking, the dream of so many casual players, possible, whilst not harming any Guardian who doesn’t want anything to do with it, as it would be Optional. Destiny’s massive Vault of Glass raid currently does not feature matchmaking and is designed for a full team of six players, leaving a lot of people unable to partake because their friends simply aren’t on at the right time or because they don’t know enough people still playing the game.
There will never be raid matchmaking. There should not be matchmaking for end game content. Now in game LFG is a very different story and would be extremely useful. Standard matchmaking would be completely broken since the biggest issue is not having a designated party leader who can boot people who are just there to troll. But yeah, if Bungie implements their own version of an LFG site, complete with party leaders and ways for people to designate whether they’re requiring mics or not If they don’t have this in Destiny 2, I’m not even bothering.

Raids in Destiny don’t have matchmaking, and this has caused a lot of frustration for the player base because it is difficult to find 6 players to play together with. They have asked the developer Bungie to add matchmaking and here’s what Bungie thinks about it. They were vague about it and it seems they [ ].
He is a large hydra with a three hundred and sixty degrees shield meaning he cannot be hurt at all at this point. Where you land is a conflux vex light pillar which needs to be defended from incoming waves of vex troops. Doing this for an increasing number of conflux pillars is the next couple of objectives for this area. The first objective is to defend the pillar where you land in the area the first time on a map, the pillar would be at South, while the templar is at the North end. The next objective is to defend two confluxes which appear at the East and West sides of the area.
Lastly you need to protect three confluxes East, West and South from vex. You aren’t protecting them from damage, instead you have to stop the vex troops reaching the confluxes and sacrificing themselves. Once four vex get through, your team will all be killed, meaning it’s back to the checkpoint. Once you move onto the second set of conflux pillars, messages will pop up on the bottom left of the screen stating that the “Templar summons its legions.
This haze, if stepped in will make you vulnerable to the Templar’s ritual of negation ability.
